Fire breaks out in slum near CRPF camp in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Fire broke out in a slum area near a Central Paramilitary Police Force (CRPF) camp in Bawana on the outskirts of outer Delhi Monday.

A Delhi fire service official said the call was received at 4:10 p.m. about a fire in the slum near the CRPF camp in Bawana. Seven fire tenders were sent to the area, he said.

According to a police official, no one was injured in the fire, which was still raging about an hour later. “We are investigating the cause of the fire,” the official added.
