Businessman abducted in Bihar

PATNA - A businessman has been abducted in Bihar’s Begusarai district and his family has received a Rs.10 lakh ransom demand, police said Saturday.

Dharmendra Kumar, who runs a cell phone business, was abducted late Friday by unidentified men from Narepur in Begusarai, about 125 km from here.

Kumar’s family received a ransom demand from abductors Saturday morning. “The abductors have demanded Rs.10 lakh from the family for the safe release of Kumar,” a police officer said.
