Fire breaks out in Delhi sari shop

NEW DELHI - A major fire broke out at a shop in a busy market here Friday afternoon. No one was injured, officials said.

The fire broke out in a sari shop on Ajmal Khan Road in Karol Bagh around 2 p.m. We rushed eight fire fighting tenders to douse the flames, said an official of the Delhi Fire Services.

According to police, the reason behind the fire was an electrical short circuit.

There is no report of casualty so far. We are assessing the damage caused to the shop, said a police officer.
