Earthquake In Manila, Philippines

MANILA, PHILIPPINES (GaeaTimes.com)- People in Philippines had felt some earthquake tremors for almost thirty seconds on Thursday. According to the reports, the earthquake, which had hit Philippines today was mostly felt at Manila, the capital city of Philippines. It has been reported by the sources that the earthquake, which shook Manila at a 6.0 magnitude had centered somewhere close to Lubang Island of the Mindoro Occidental province, which is located at a distance of almost 130 kilometers in the southwestern side of Manila.
Reports indicated that the initial reports of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology stated that the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.2. However, they later analyzed the reports and stated that the earthquake was of 6.0 magnitude. Though the earthquake was quite severe, there is no immediate report of casualties caused by this earthquake. The latest updates of this earthquake also did not mention any loss of property caused by this earthquake, which rocked Manila in Philippines.
As stated in the reports, experiencing jolts of earthquake at Manila in Philippines is considered to be quite natural as the country forms a part of the Pacific Ring Of Fire. However, people were traumatized when the buildings started to shake and so they started to run away from their offices and homes. Reports stated that people were afraid that they have experienced a deadly earthquake, similar to Haiti or Chile and so were making desperate attempts to save their lives. The latest reports indicate that the seismologists have not declared tsunami alert after this earthquake, so people are safe.
