Buddhadeb visits Stephen Court

KOLKATA - West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Wednesday briefly visited the Stephen Court building, which was devastated by a fire that left 24 people dead.

Bhattacharjee entered the gutted building and spoke to city Police Commissioner Goutam Mohan Chakraborty and fire department officials. He did not speak to the media.

Twenty people have been injured and an identical number are missing following the blaze Tuesday in the heritage building on Park Street in the heart of Kolkata.
