Britain seeks details of citizen’s death in Goa

PANAJI - Britain has sought details from the Goa Police about the mysterious death of one of its nationals who was found dead in his hotel room March 12.

A letter received by the Goa Police Wednesday from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office seeks specific information about the death of 30-year-old Anthony David Keats, who was found dead in his hotel room at Colva, a beach village 40 km from here.

Superintendent of Police (Foreigners Branch) Tony Fernandes said: “The FCO has also asked for a copy of the inquest panchanama (report) and details about the cause of death.”

The body is yet to be handed over to the deceased’s relatives, he added.
