Crash of 2 freight trains kills 1 near Pittsburgh
BRADDOCK, Pa. — A crash between two freight trains near a U.S. Steel plant outside Pittsburgh has killed one person.
The Allegheny County medical examiner says the Union Railroad worker killed is 54-year-old Andrew Monheim, of Plum.
Federal Rail Administration spokesman Rob Kulat says Monheim’s train was traveling about 10 mph.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
