Schrenker: “Data” show he tried to fake own death
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A former money manager facing fraud charges acknowledges in a newspaper interview that evidence indicates he was trying to fake his own death when he parachuted from his private plane that later crashed in a Florida swamp.
Marcus Schrenker tells The Times of Munster in a jailhouse interview that “all the data” lead to that conclusion.
Schrenker previously had claimed he was trying to commit suicide when he jumped from the plane.
He says now it’s hard for him to believe he did anything so dangerous.
The Merrillville native is being held in jail in the Indianapolis suburb of Hamilton County, where he awaits trial on charges that he bilked more than $1 million from investors.
