PANCHKULA - Police have arrested one of two bodyguards of a bureaucrat couple’s son now in jail for attacking the son of a Punjab and Haryana High Court judge.
Malkhan Singh, 37, was taken into custody soon after he reached his home in a Chandigarh suburb late Monday.
“We had been keeping a watch on his home for the past few days,” said Superintendent of Police Maneesh Chaudhary Tuesday.
“We are now raiding other places to arrest the second accomplice, Mohinder Singh,” the officer said.
Bajaj was accompanied by his two bodyguards when he allegedly attacked Gurmohan Singh Bedi, the judge’s son. Bajaj has been charged with attempt to murder.
Bajaj, who dodged the police for over a month, was arrested March 3. He is in jail in Ambala.
Gurmohan had alleged that Bajaj and his guards hit him with weapons at the North Park resort in Panchkula over a parking argument.
