Holi revelry kills two in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Two people died while over 180 were injured during Holi revelry in the national capital, health officials said Tuesday.

The All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre Monday received as many as 180 injured in Holi revelry.

“During the day we received 180 injured people and of these 50 were critically injured while two were brought dead,” said M.C. Mishra, chief of the trauma centre.

One of the dead was identified as Sonu, 20. He died after a motorcycle accident in Jasola in south Delhi, police said.

According to police, Sonu was driving under the influence of alcohol.
