NEW DELHI - Four armed burglars barged into the All India Football Federation (AIFF) office in southwest Delhi in the early hours of Tuesday and stole LCD TV sets, computers as well as a Maruti van.

Police said the masked burglars made a forced entry into the three-storeyed building of the federation in Dwarka’s sector 19 around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

“They held hostage two security guards and locked them in a room. They escaped with electronics items - LCD TV sets, some computers, fire extinguishing equipment and one van,” AIFF administrative officer Kanan Mehta told IANS.

Police said it appeared to be the handiwork of a local gang.
