KOLKATA - West Bengal government Tuesday asked Kolkata-based businessmen to restrict their movements to avert any kind of untoward incident after they received threat calls from unknown destinations a couple of days back, officials said.

“I have asked the industrialists to restrict their movements in view of the threat calls. Everyone should be conscious about his or her own security. Its their responsibility as well,” state Chief Secretary Ashok Mohan Chakraborty told reporters here.

The industrialists should also not move around those places which could be of risk,” Chakraborty said.

He added: Some of the industrialists who had received threat calls for hefty ransom also met me Monday.

Chakraborty said police were looking into the case.
