Three houses robbed in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Robbers struck at three houses in a single block in north Delhi, police said Saturday.

The incident took place at around 11.30 p.m. Friday in Inderlok area of Sarai Rohilla. The owners of the the three houses, Abdul Sattar, Mohammad Salim and Ashraf, all close relatives, were not at home when the incident took place. They had gone for a marriage, a senior police officer said.

The robbery came to light when a neighbour saw the locks of the houses broken and informed the owners. When they returned, they discovered that their houses were ransacked. Cash of around Rs.10 lakh, some jewellery and valuables were found missing from their houses, the officer added.
