Woman found murdered in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 65-year-old woman was found dead in her house in east Delhi Thursday with her throat slit and feet tied, the police said.

We got a call about the incident at around 12.30 p.m. The deceased, Nirmal Arora, was found dead in her house by her maid. The door of the house was open. The maid raised an alarm after which the neighbours came,” said a senior police officer.

“Nirmal’s throat was slit and her feet were tied up, he said.

Around Rs.40,000 were found missing from the house. Her husband S.N. Arora, a retired air force official works in a private company nearby. He left for work at around 10 a.m.

The couple’s children were not living with them, he added.

The entry into the house seems to be friendly as a lot of other valuables are intact, the officer said.
