Chandigarh cop gets jail term for sodomising teenager

CHANDIGARH - A court Thursday sentenced a police officer to four years rigorous imprisonment after convicting him of sodomising a teenaged boy in November 2008.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Raj Shekhar Attri also slapped a fine of Rs.50,000 on Assistant Sub Inspector Dalwinder Singh.
According to police, the teenager was at a bus stop in Sector 30 at night when Singh took him to his house at gunpoint. “After sodomising him, Singh let him go. The boy’s parents filed a complaint,” a police officer said.
