NATO: bomb kills 2 service members in Afghanistan

KABUL — NATO says a bomb has killed two foreign service members in southern Afghanistan.

A statement issued Monday says the attack occurred Sunday but does not provide a specific location or give the nationalities of the troops.

The deaths come as NATO and Afghan troops are poised for a major offensive against the Taliban in the southern province of Helmand.

At least 11 NATO service members have died in Afghanistan so far this month.
