NEW DELHI - The Delhi High Court Monday directed the trial court to wrap up the four cases pending in the 1984 anti-Sikh riot cases within six months.

A division bench of Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice Rajiv Sahai directed the trial court to conclude the trials in all four cases within six months. The court also appointed a special public prosecutor and an advocate to argue the cases in the trial court and the high court.

The court was hearing an appeal by the 1984 riot victims who pleaded for speedy trials.
