Two men held for robbery in Haryana

CHANDIGARH - Two men allegedly involved in cases of robbery were arrested and

Rs.66 lakh were recovered from them, Haryana police said Sunday.

According to police, the two men carried out the crimes in Haryana and Rajasthan.

Apart from the money, police have also recovered a illegally-manufactured pistol and a motorcycle from their possession.

The two men were identified as Hoshiar alias Joni and Parkash alias Jagat Fauji, both residents of Khanpur town in Rajasthan.

“The duo had committed 11 robberies in different branches of Gurgaon Rural Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Sindh Bank and State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, in Haryana and Rajasthan. In some cases, they had also attacked bank employees,” a police officer said.

He added: “Rewari police had constituted a special team to arrest the accused.”
