Chhattisgarh official found to own assets worth billions

RAIPUR - Raids carried out by the Income Tax (IT) department Thursday here at seven places here revealed that an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer in Chhattisgarh owns assets estimated to be worth billions of rupees.

IT sleuths raided the residence of state Agriculture Secretary B.L. Agrawal and business establishment of his close relatives throughout Thursday and found documents suggesting that the officer has amassed assets worth billions, sources said.
