NEW DELHI - Following are some of the fatal accidents involving cars driven by the rich:
January 1999: Businessman Sanjeev Nanda, under the influence of alcohol, ran his BMW car over six people, killing them.
October 2002: Film actor Salman Khan was arrested after his Land Cruiser allegedly ran over some people sleeping on a Mumbai pavement, killing one person and injuring four others.
November 2006: Alistair Pereira killed seven people and injured many when he ran over construction workers on Carter Road at Bandra.
September 2008: Utsav Bhasin, son of a Haryana industrialist, was held after he mowed down a motorcyclist with his BMW car in south Delhi.
