Delhi Police officer arrested for seeking bribe

NEW DELHI - Delhi Police sub-inspector Sharif Ahmed has been sent to judicial custody till Feb 11 after being arrested for allegedly demanding bribe to settle a rape case, police said Thursday.

Ahmed, posted at New Usmanpur police station in northeast Delhi, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau following a probe into a complaint filed in December, an officer said.
