Crime branch to probe attack on senior lawyer

NEW DELHI - The Crime Branch will investigate an attack on noted criminal lawyer R.K. Naseem Jan 24, Delhi Police said Thursday.

Naseem was critically injured after he was attacked by his brothers-in-law Vinod in Dabri in southwest Delhi over a property dispute.

“The case has been transferred to the crime branch and station house officer, Dabri has been transferred with immediate effect,” said a senior police officer.

Following the decision, the coordination committee of the All Bar Associations of Delhi called off their one-day strike to protest police inaction in the case.
