RadioShack recalls remote control toy helicopters

WASHINGTON — RadioShack recalled about 6,000 remote-control toy helicopters Tuesday that the electronics retailer said can ignite while being charged.

RadioShack Corp. has received one report of a fire that started while a demo toy was charging in a store.

The company has recalled the Danbar Toys Knight Hawk 3D remote-control helicopter, marketed for age 8 and up.

The toys were sold for about $60 at stores from October to November. They were made in China and can be identified by the model number 006047, which is on the back of the controller.
