2 teens charged in N. Idaho highway shootings
MOSCOW, Idaho — Authorities say two teens have been charged in the shootings of several vehicles over a three-hour period in northern Idaho.
The Lewiston Tribune reports the 14-year-olds appeared at a closed hearing in juvenile court Monday. Each has been charged with two counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm at a vehicle.
Latah County sheriff’s officers arrested the Deary High School students after receiving at least 20 reports of vehicles being hit by shots fired Friday on rural State Highway 8.
The sheriff’s office said no one was hurt and a majority of the vehicles hit were tractor-trailer rigs.
The teens have been released into the custody of their parents.
