Noted criminal lawyer attacked in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Noted criminal lawyer R.K. Naseem was critically injured after he was attacked by one of his close relatives over some property dispute Sunday, police said.

Naseem was attacked by one of his brothers-in-law Vinod in Dabri area of southwest Delhi. According to police, Vinod hit Nasem on head with a stick.

“The blow was hard and left severe rupture in the head. Naseem’s sons Sameer and Rajeev were also at the spot and they immediately rushed him to Chanan Devi Hospital, where he is being treated. His condition was described as critical but stable,” said a police officer.

According to police, Naseem and Vinod are in dispute over a property at Manesar in Haryana.

Vinod has been arrested, they said.
