Another NJ church group on way home from Haiti
TRENTON, N.J. — A second New Jersey church delegation is on its way home from Haiti after being caught in the Caribbean nation’s devastating earthquake.
Officials at The Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville say 20 people from there and other Mercer County churches were flown early Friday from Port-au-Prince to Puerto Rico. They have since left on a U.S.-bound flight.
The Rev. Jeff Vamos (VAY’-mohs) says they’re due to arrive at the church in midafternoon.
A group of 15 in Haiti from a church in Hackettstown, N.J., arrived earlier Friday in New York.
