Amgen donating $2 million to Haiti relief efforts
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Biotechnology company Amgen Inc. said Thursday it is donating $2 million to Haiti relief efforts after the worst earthquake there in more than two centuries destroyed a large swath of the country.
The company also said it will deploy its Disaster Relief Program Web site for Amgen staff around the globe who want to contribute their own funds.
Amgen also said it will match staff contributions dollar for dollar, although it did not specify a limit to the match.
