Aetna offers employee assistance benefits to Haiti
HARTFORD, Conn. — Health insurer Aetna Inc. said Thursday it will expand its employee assistance program and offer additional benefits to staff, plan members and families affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
Aetna said its employee assistance program is now open to all members, employees, and their families who may have loved ones affected by Tuesday’s earthquake. It is also expediting filing of life insurance claims and extending claim submission dates, and matching donations to disaster relief funds made by its employees.
Aetna is also offering assistance and medical evacuation to customers who have employees in Haiti who were injured or affected by the earthquake.
