Woman, man die in Gujarat hospital fire

AHMEDABAD - A pregnant woman and a man were killed when a fire broke out in a hospital here Saturday, an official said.
The fire broke out in the catheterization laboratory of the V.S. Municipal Hospital, where the woman was on a ventilator.
“The fire sparked off due to a short circuit in the cath lab. It soon spread to a nearby ward. Fire fighters were rushed to the spot,” the official said.
“About 100 patients were shifted to other wards,” he added.
