Re: Assam Rifles

IMPHAL, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Assam Rifles once again proved their supremacy and valiance when they rescued a group of villagers as Sajik Tampak went up in flames in the village of Khomunnom. As witnessed by many, the village went ablaze which prompted the fire fighters team to jump to the rescue along with JCO. Assam Rifles moved 25 jawans from their Bn HQ 8 to prevent the devastation. Assam Rifles crew risked their own lives as they went along towards Sajik Tampak in their attempt to stop the flames which were just about to spread throughout the village. The first thing the Assam Rifles jawans did was to isolate the children to a safer place away from the clutches of fire.

The Assam Rifles jawans along with the fire fighting crew battled the fire for more than an hour and brought it under control, thus saving the lives of many villagers in the process.

Reportedly, Assam Rifles recently celebrated their 175th Raising Day. That makes Assam Rifles one of the most ancient paramilitary forces. As it is being said, Assam Rifles plans to include in their existing troop 26 battalions. The new Assam Rifles battalion is said to be working upon the construction of roads and monitoring the entire infrastructure of the region. Since its inception, Assam Rifles has proved to be a superb power in civil protection and is more popularly known as ‘Cachar Levy’. It’s no wonder that the paramilitary force shall continue to shine in their own glory as they overcome all odds by their indomitable strength and courage as they did in Sajik Tampak.
