Nuriya Yusuf Ahluwalia Kills Two, Injures 4 Cops In Mumbai

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Nuriya Yusuf Ahluwalia killed two and injured four cops in a Mumbai drink and drive incident. It occurred at around 1 a.m. on Friday. Nooriya Haveliwala- a 27-year-old woman and a beautician by profession, lost control while driving her Honda CRV. As per police reports, she ended up hitting a police jeep and a bike at a police check-post in Marine Drive, south of Mumbai. When she rammed her car into the police jeep and bike, an assistant sub-inspector as well as the biker died while four constables were injured severely. Initially it was reported that the sub-inspector was safe. However, according to recent reports he has died.
Nuriya Yusuf Ahluwalia’s reckless driving killed two and injured four cops in south Mumbai. An assistant sub-inspector, Dinanath Shinde and the biker Afzal Kanojia lost their lives in the mishap. Dinanath Shinde was seriously injured and was taken to the Bombay Hospital where he died. The 35-year-old biker, Afzal Kanojia was reported as dead when he reached the Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital. He was present at the check-post at the time for a breath-analyzing test.
The severely injured 4 cops in the south Mumbai accident, have been admitted to Bombay Hospital and Goukuldas Tejpal Hospital. Among the injured are Lala Shinde, Shilendra Jadhav, Ashok Shinde and Arjun Gaekwad. Reports found that the driver was under influence of alcohol. A senior police officer confirmed “presence of 457 ml of alcohol in her blood.” Nuriya Yusuf Ahluwalia is in police custody now. Even though she killed two, the case will be considered as an accident and not murder.
