Policeman assaulted pver breath test

MELBOURNE - An irate car driver in Australia dragged a policeman for 50 metres after he was stopped for a breath test, a media report said Saturday.

Police said officers stopped the vehicle on a highway in Queensland Friday evening, the Herald Sun reported.

The driver allegedly became aggressive while he was being breath-tested. One officer dropped the alcometer in the car.

When he tried to retrieve it, the driver took off and the officer was dragged about 50 metres before falling from the car.

He was treated for minor injuries to his arm and head.
