MOHALI - Five employees of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) have been booked for stealing Rs.539,000 from their office, police said Wednesday.

According to police, PCA chief executive officer G.S. Sandhu registered a complaint Sunday that Rs.535,000 have been stolen from the accounts office here at the PCA Stadium, some 10 km from the state capital Chandigarh.

We searched the office but there were no signs of a forced entry. We suspected that it was the handiwork of some employee of the PCA, said a police official.

“On the basis of our preliminary investigation, we have booked a cashier and four other employees of the PCA for the theft,” he said.
