GURGAON - Three days after the city-based owner of a courier company went missing, police Sunday recovered his decomposed body from his car in the DLF Phase-I area.

“This morning, we received a call that a body was lying in a Honda City car in Galleria market. The victim has been identified as Amit Bhardwaj, 30, who ran a courier company in Civil Lines. There was a stench coming from the body, and it seems that he was killed two-three days back,” a senior police officer told IANS.

Bhardwaj’s family members had approached the police Nov 11, when he went missing. No ransom call was made, and his phone was switched off, they said. The victim lived in a joint family with his four brothers.

“A case of kidnapping was registered in the Civil Lines police station,” the officer said.

Police are suspecting a dispute with some of his business partners led to the murder.

“He was killed with a sharp-edged weapon. We are questioning his brothers,” he added.
