Woman, two children injured as truck rams into car in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A woman and her two children were injured when a truck collided with their car in Kalindi Kunj area of east Delhi, police said Saturday.

“The accident took place around 1 a.m. last night. The woman was taking a U-turn at the Jasola T-point intersection when the vehicles collided,” a police officer said.

The car’s occupants received minor injuries and were taken to the nearby Apollo Hospital. The truck driver is absconding, he said.

“As of now, it appears that both the drivers were at fault. Our investigations are on and we are looking for the truck driver,” he added.
