Villagers lynch criminal

LUCKNOW - A group of villagers lynched a criminal and beat his accomplice after they were caught sneaking into a house in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district, police said Tuesday.

Doodh Nath Yadav, 48, was beaten to death in Denua village late Monday.

The villagers repeatedly hit Doodh Nath and Mangal with bricks, iron rods and wooden sticks following which Doodh Nath died, police inspector Shri Krishan Kumar in Jaunpur, some 250 km from Lucknow.
