CHENNAI - Twenty-three people, including a one-year-old boy, were injured in an explosion in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district Monday, police said.

The explosion occurred when a tractor drove over a sack containing home-made bombs kept near the Kuzhumam bus stop, Tiruppur police told IANS.

The infant was injured on his right hand. According to police, 21 of the injured were being treated at a local hospital while two were taken to Coimbatore government hospital.
