RANCHI - The Jharkhand vigilance bureau will submit its final report on illegal appointments in the second Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) exam held in 2007-08 after getting a forensic report, said an official Saturday.
“The final report of illegal appointments made in the second JPSC examination will be submitted to the state government after getting the forensic lab report from Hyderabad,” a bureau official told IANS.
Through the second JPSC examination, a total of 172 administrative officers were appointed in 2007-08. A vigilance probe into alleged irregularities in the appointments was ordered last year.
The vigilance department in its preliminary report early this year said that 37 candidates who appeared in the exam were appointed illegally.
According to sources in the vigilance bureau, more than 50 percent of the candidates were appointed illegally and their names will be attached in the final report. Based on the preliminary report, the state government has already sacked 37 officers.
