20 Chinese tourists missing in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Twenty Chinese tourists were reported missing in Taiwan after heavy rains and landslides triggered by typhoon Megi hit the island nation, authorities said.
The Chinese were out of contact since Friday night when their bus was hit by mud and rock on a highway in the island’s east coast, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, 54 tourists from China, who were stranded in Taiwan Friday, were lifted out of danger by helicopters Saturday morning.
Many people were evacuated from the flood-hit areas in Ilan county, Taiwan, Friday as the typhoon, which has claimed 13 lives in the island, arrived.
