RAIPUR - Raids carried out Friday revealed a government engineer in Chhattisgarh has amassed assets in excess of Rs.40 million, officials said.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams carried out raids at various locations in capital Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg and Korba as part of the probe against N.S. Rathor, presently posted as executive engineer at the fund-starved Raipur Municipal Corporation.

Sources in ACB confirmed that documents seized in raids established that the engineer has amassed huge amount of money illegally.

“We are analysing the documents. So far it is confirmed he owns moveable and immovable properties worth Rs.40 million. Probably the figure will go much higher once we complete the study of all the papers recovered in raids,” a source added.
