LUCKNOW - A man killed four members of his family, including two minor daughters, in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district after a quarrel with them, police said Friday.
Raju Kumar, 40, killed his wife, two daughters - aged 10 and 12 years - and sister-in-law with a sharp-edged weapon Thursday night inside his house in Lahia village, some 150 km from Lucknow, the police said.
“The incident came to light this (Friday) morning when Rajus neighbours found the four family members dead inside the house. According to locals, Raju Thursday night had also beaten up the family members following some arguments,” police inspector B.K. Gautam told reporters in Shahjahanpur.
Raju was arrested earlier today (Friday) and has confessed to his crime. The spear-like iron weapon used to commit the killings has also been recovered from Raju,” he added.
