Theft in Games Village: FIR registered

NEW DELHI - A First Information Report (FIR) regarding a theft in the Pakistan chef de mission’s room in the Commonwealth Games Village has been registered, a Delhi Police officer said.

An FIR has been registered under section 380 of the Indian Penal Code. The police are looking into the matter,” said Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, Pakistan chef de mission Muhammad Ali Shah went for breakfast leaving Rs.25,000 in his jacket at his room in the Games Village, which he left unlocked.

On his return, he found the money missing.
