Iran hangs eight drug traffickers

TEHRAN - Iran has hanged eight men charged with drug trafficking, a media report said.

The eight drug traffickers were hanged in a prison Thursday in the southeastern city of Kerman, near the Pakistan and Afghanistan borders, Xinhua reported citing the Mehr news agency.

Iran’s border areas with Pakistan and Afghanistan have seen deadly clashes between security forces and drug traffickers in recent times.
