19 dead in Myanmar boat capsize

YANGON - Nineteen people were confirmed dead Thursday after a boat capsized in Myanmar.

The accident happened in Padegaw Creek, Laputta Township, 240 km south-west of Yangon, Wednesday morning, the source said on condition of anonymity.

The victims comprised 15 students, two teachers and two villagers.

Two students and one villager were missing following the early morning capsize he added.
