Man kills mother, buries body

RANCHI - A man hacked his mother to death and buried her body in the courtyard of his house in Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharsawa district, police said Sunday.

Pankaj Sahu, a resident of Banatangar, had a quarrel with his 65-year-old mother Saturday over some issues.

He picked up an axe and hacked her to death. He then buried her body in the courtyard of the house. The villagers came to know about the incident and alerted police.

Pankaj was arrested Sunday.

Seraikela-Kharsawa district is around 160 km from Ranchi.
