NEW DELHI - “We have more important issues than Commonwealth Games but now it is a matter of national pride,” so said Marxist Sitaram Yechury as he entered the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the opening of the Commonwealth Games.

Yechury was his unassuming self as he walked in with his journalist wife. “I am looking for my son, I don’t know where he is,” Yechury told IANS. “I am looking forward to a colourful and creative opening ceremony.”
