Fire Fighters Battle Thousand Oaks Fire

SOUTH CALIFORNIA, (Gaea Times.com)- A small fire broke out in the hilly areas of Ventura County city of Thousand Oaks, South California on Monday afternoon due to high temperature in the area. The fire spread rapidly across the dry vegetation but was reportedly brought under control by evening. A group of 100 fighters and many water dropping helicopters were dispatched after the news of the fire breaking out came in. The fire though has not been completely extinguished. Only about 50% of the fire has been brought under control though reports suggest that the fire has no chance of damaging any structures or harm the living people nearby in any manner.

The people though in the nearby areas are panic stricken and concerned with the news of the spreading fire. Though no immediate danger was seen to the the living and no evacuation ordered, many people are moving away lest the fire spreads further. The firefighters of Southern California have been battling the thousands Oaks fire for many hours in the fierce heat. They are being immensely helped by the water dropping helicopters along with bulldozers that were trying to cut a clear patch in the ground between the spreading fire and the brush. Their combined effort helped in bringing the fire under control which was burning across dry vegetation near the 101 freeway.

There are reports that the fire in thousands oak was a result of high temperature but an investigation regarding the cause of the fire is going on nevertheless. The thousand Oaks fire has reportedly burnt about 20 to 50 acres of land after near the 101 freeway. Many small fires have been reported to break out as the temperature in the place often goes up more than 100 degrees as it did on Monday.
