NEW DELHI - The Delhi government Monday announced an ex-gratia of Rs.4 lakh to the three school kids who were sexually abused by their cab driver after being drugged in central Delhi.

Terming the crime as “heinous”, Delhi’s Health Minister Kiran Walia assured the mother of the 12-year-old girl and two other minors of all possible help and announced monetary help to the victims to “meet the expenditure on their health and medicine”.

The accused is Lalit Ratawal, a 32-year-old school van driver.

The accused, a resident of Bapa Nagar in Karol Bagh, would take the siblings to unknown destinations where he along with his four associates, all aged below 18, would rape the girl and sodomise her two brothers, aged seven and 13, according to the police.
