SHIMLA - Thieves in this Himachal Pradesh state capital Sunday took away a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera installed in a bank after they failed to steal cash and other valuables, police said.

“The thieves decamped with a CCTV camera after they failed to open the strongroom of the Punjab National Bank branch in Sanjauli,” investigating officer Madan Lal told IANS.

He said the theft attempt came to light in the morning when local residents saw the bank’s locks broken.
