Help sought to trace income tax officer

LUDHIANA - The income tax department Thursday sought public help to trace a senior official who has been missing from here since early this month.

Chief Commissioner of Income Tax G.S. Randhawa appealed to people to help Punjab Police to locate Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Umesh Chandra, who disappeared Sep 7.

The officer is from the 1989 batch of IRS. Chandra had gone to the Punjab Agricultural University campus here for an evening walk when he was last seen.
